Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker — the employment-based immigrant petition.

Form I-140 is filed by an employer (or the worker, in self-petition categories) to establish eligibility in EB-1, EB-2, or EB-3. Approval preserves the priority date but does not grant any status on its own.
