Employment-based second preference: advanced-degree professionals and exceptional ability.

EB-2 covers noncitizens holding an advanced degree (or a bachelor's plus 5 years of progressive experience) and those with exceptional ability. The National Interest Waiver (NIW) lets qualifying applicants self-petition without an employer or labor certification.
