K-3 Spouse Visa
Also: K-3
Nonimmigrant visa for the foreign spouse of a U.S. citizen with a pending I-130.
K-3 was designed to let foreign spouses join their U.S. citizen partner while waiting for an I-130 to be processed. In practice, K-3 is rarely used today because I-130 processing has caught up with K-3 processing — most spouses use consular processing or adjustment of status instead.
