Motion to Reopen
Also: MTR
A request asking USCIS or an immigration court to reconsider a decision based on new facts.
A motion to reopen presents new facts that were not available at the time of the original decision. It is filed on Form I-290B (for USCIS decisions) or with EOIR (for court decisions) and must usually be filed within 30 days.
