Parole in Place

Also: PIP

A grant of parole to someone already physically inside the U.S.

Parole in place lets certain noncitizens already in the U.S. — historically immediate family of military service members — receive parole status, which can cure unlawful entry and unlock adjustment of status eligibility. Programs change frequently and are subject to litigation.
