AC21 Porting
Changing employers while an I-485 is pending without losing the underlying I-140.
Under INA §204(j), an EB-2 or EB-3 applicant whose I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days may change employers if the new job is "same or similar" to the one in the original I-140. Porting preserves the priority date and the approved I-140.
